We offer group and individual sessions along with team training. We focus on training and correction. Our team of instructors are one of the best groups in Southern Ontario. Darren T, Director of Player Development
Darren has spent the past number of years as an Assistant Coach specializing On-Ice training and video and analytics in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL). During that time, Darren was an intricate part of the Newmarket Hurricanes bench staff taking the team all the way to win the North Division Championship. In addition, Darren spent two years as Video Coach with the OHL Mississauga Steelheads and the York University Lions men’s team, which captured the West Division Championship.
Darren has had the opportunity to work with, and learn from, some of the greatest coaches from the AHL, ECHL, CIS, OHL and the OJHL. Using this knowledge, Darren has had the privilege of seeing many of his former players continue their playing careers in NCAA and Canadian Universities as well as in the OHL and Professional Organizations.
Darren was a NCCP Instructor with the GTHL and a member of the Under 17 Evaluation Group. Prior to coaching in the OJHL, Darren had a very successful career coaching minor hockey in the Greater Toronto Hockey League.
Darren finished out the 2019/2020 season as the Assistant Coach, specializing in video an analytics. with the Collingwood Colts Jr. A Hockey Organization.
Darren works as a Player Advisor with the CMC, Cooney Management Company. Darren has been successful in helping players follow their dreams from Jr. A and OHL to university with Division 1 scholarships and playing professional hockey in the North America and Europe,
Nicholas C, Lead Instructor
Nicholas has played hockey at an Elite level for a number of years, from Midget AAA to 2 seasons with the Newmarket Hurricanes and his graduating season with the Collingwood Colts Jr A Organization. Nicholas served as the Assistant Captain for the Collingwood Colts/Blues in his final Jr. A season. Currently, Nicholas is the Assistant Coach of the Ajax Pickering Raiders U15 AAA team.
Nicholas has exceptional skills when it comes to teaching the most important fundamentals of hockey. From power skating, stick handling to teaching the fine art of puck control, Nicholas has superior proficiency and technique.
Andrew M, Head Goalie Instructor
Andrew spent the majority of his minor hockey playing career in Michigan. He was drafted into the OHL by the Owen Sound Attack. Andrew played for the Owen Sound Attack, the Oshawa Generals and the Niagara Ice Dogs. Currently, Andrew is playing for the Brock University Men’s Hockey Team. Prior to attending Brock University, Andrew held the title of OHA Player of the Year, GOJHL Goalie of the Year with the best saves percentage, best goals against average and the most shutouts recorded in the GOJHL, winning the Sutherland Cup in the 2021-2022 season.
Andrew brings with him the knowledge he gained from years of goalie training with some of the greatest goalie coaches in the United States and Canada. This knowledge is transferred to his students during on-ice and off-ice instruction.
Kevin P, Instructor
Kevin has been a standout defenceman in Jr.A, Jr. B and in professional hockey. Kevin has returned from Europe after a considerable hockey career and is now focusing his talents as an on-ice development instructor and coach.
Kevin has exceptional defencemen skills and is able to reiterate these skills to the players on the ice. Kevin’s defense knowledge is second to none. He is able to explain and demonstrate the most crucial defense fundamentals from gap control and body positioning to offensive skills.
Paul O, Instructor
Paul started his playing career in his hometown of Newmarket, Ontario as a Newmarket Redmen. Paul progressed very quickly to the AAA level, where he was coached by former NHL Center, Dan Daoust. Paul started his Jr. A career as a Newmarket Hurricane before heading to the Trenton Goldenhawks in the 2018-2019 season. Paul rounded out his Jr. A career as the Assistant Captain of the Collingwood Colts/Blues in the 2019-2020 season.
Paul’s playing experience lead him to work with young players and develop their defensive skills to make them completive in the world of Hockey.
Adam L , Instructor
Adam started his professional hockey journey playing defence in Jr. A in the OJHL. Following his Jr. A career, Adam earned a degree in Finance and Economics while playing for the York University Men’s Hockey Team. After graduating from York University, he moved overseas and continued his university education while playing professional hockey in Marseille, France and in the Netherland/Belgium Hockey Leauge. Adam finished out the 2020 season leading the league in goals for a defenceman.
After years abroad, he returned to Canada and worked training players with Sk8on, Speed HD and Next Stage Hockey before joining our team of expert trainers. Adam brings with him a wealth of knowledge on and off the ice. In addition to training our future hockey stars, he also teaches with the York Region District School Board training our future scholars.
